Feig has a long resume of directing great comedy, having helmed some truly great episodes of comedic TV on shows like The Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, Nurse Jackie, Undeclared and of course, Freaks and Geeks. I say all that to say: this is an impressive cast that they have assembled for this flick - a good blend of talented actresses who can each hold her own when it comes to bringing the funny. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. There's already praise buzzing out of SXSW for SNL member Kristen Wiig's upcoming breakout turn in Bridesmaids, the new comedy produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Freaks and Geeks creator Paul Feig, which is (in spirit at least) The Hangover with an eclectic ensemble of comedic actresses instead of comedic actors. ![]()
